If you are reading this, then congratulations on having designed your own advertisement. We now have only one more task to attend to before this term is through - the essay.
You all had a practice at writing an analytical essay of a charity advertisement last half-term and I was very impressed with the what you all came up with. Now, as a final task before we move away from magazine advertisement, we are going to write one final essay about them.
Your Task:
1. Get a writing framework from Mr. Brown.
2. Choose one of the advertisements at the top of this entry that you would like to write about.
3. write an essay about how the designers have managed to appeal to their audience. These should be about a side and a half, size 12 font. Your title is 'Textual Analysis of a Magazine Advert'. If you want to remind yourself of the sort of language to use in a media essay, then please do have another look at the sample essay I wrote last half term.
